Live in the Now!

Do you ever find yourself stressing over something that has occurred in the past? How about worrying about what’s to come in the future? It’s important we stop and smell the roses, literally. What I’m referring to, is the ability to live in the now!

The reason I’m touching on a phrase we have all heard before, is because most of us, actually fail to understand the practicality of the phrase. We truly, do need to take the time to “stop and smell the roses" and embrace the very moment we are living.

I’m reading the book “The Power of Now” written by a gentleman named Eckhart Tolle. Let me tell you, it’s an eye opener. He points out that for the short time we are on this earth we get caught up in a lot of mental clutter. Fortunately, most of the clutter is self inflected. I say fortunately because we have the opportunity to take control. Our mind is always working on over drive. The problem is, we don’t know how to stop and eliminate the voice inside our head to focus on the very moment we are experiencing. Have a read of “The Power of Now” to gain control of your mind, rather than have your mind control you!

We can all learn a thing or two from this great teacher. Here is another book of his that I have on my hit list. “A New Earth – Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose”
